The “Kustendorf” film wrapped up today with the presentation of the “Tree of Life” award to actor Petar Božović and the announcement of the winning short films, among which the “Golden Egg” went to the Russian film Clear Sky by Igor Tsoi and Andrei Zamoskovny.

The founder of the festival, director Emir Kusturica, presented the award to Božović, who was greeted with applause at the “Prokleta avlija” cinema in Drvengrad.

The jury, which included Egyptian director Mariam Abu Ouf, film publicist Brigita Portia, director and screenwriter Dusan Milić and director of photography Ivan Sijak gave the “Golden Egg” of the 15th “Kustendorf” to the Russian filmmakers, who absent from the festival, noting that “every aspect of this film was perfect.”

In the competition of 15 short films by young authors, “Silver Egg” went to the work German Quality/Colleagues by Janis Alexander Kiefer from Germany, absent from the festival, with the jury’s assessment that he managed to achieve humor when talking about a difficult topic.

The jury  special mention was given by the Spanish film Wolf’s Totem by the absent Veronica Echegi, who presented a “powerful story in mature film language”.
