Untravel an animated short by Ana Nedeljković and Nikola Majdak, Jr, almost two years after its Berlinale premiere, continues its festival tour, and has been awarded at three festivals in November.
At the 36th International Short Film Festival in Tehran, Iran, which took place from November 10th to 15th, the film was awarded as the Best Animated Film. In Goiânia, Brazil, at the Lanterna Mágica International Animation Festival, Untravel was awarded for Best Screenplay, and in Austria at the Kufstein Short Film Festival it received the award for Best Picture.
Untravel was screened at several other festivals in November, notable among those being Etiuda & Anima Festival in Krakow, Poland, as well as ReAnima in Bergenu, Norway.
Untravel had its premiere at the 2018 Berlin International Film festival, and won the Grand Prix for animated film there. It qualified directly for the Oscars by winning the Golden Pegasus at the Animator festival in poland, and it was nominated for the prestigious Annie award. It was screened at over one hundred festivals globally, including Sundance and Annecy.
The film is produced by Jelena Mitrović (Baš Čelik), and co-produced by Eva Pavlovičova and Peter Badač, the editor is Milina Trišić, the score was composed by Dušan Petrović, the sound design is by Vladimir Janković and Aleksandar Protić, and the film is narrated by Maša Mileusnić. The film was financed by Film Center Serbia, the Slovakian Audiovisual Fund and Arte television.
