The award-winning Serbian film Load, directed by Ognjen Glavonić, will be available via HBO GO video-on-demand service from September 28th, when it will premiere on Cinemax 2 at 8:30 pm.

The Load follows Vladat, whoworks as a truck driver during the 1999 NATO bombing of Serbia. Carrying an unknown cargo from Kosovo to Belgrade, he passes through unknown territory, trying to get his bearings in a war-torn country. He knows that after he has done his job, he will have to return home and face the consequences of what he has done.

The film stars Leon Lučev, alongside Pavle Čemerikić, Tamara Krcunović and Igor Benčina. Following its world premiere at the Cannes Film Festival 2018 , the film has been screened at over 80 international festivals, winning 25 awards, including those for Best Film at the Belgrade Film Festival and the Zagreb Film Festival, the Best Director Award at the Marrakech Film Festival, as well as The Heart of Sarajevo for Best Actor for Leon Lučev.

The Load has recently begun its theatrical run in the USA, where it has already met with favorable reviews, with New York Times selecting it for its critic’s spotlight.
