In partnership with Film Center Serbia, this year’s ninth edition of the First Look section of the ongoing work program at the Locarno Film Festival consists of six Serbian films in the post-production phase. These films will be presented to key international actors in the film industry from 9th to 11th of August, as part of the LocarnoPro program.
These include the documentary Speak So I can See You by Marija Stojnić, also the documentary Miss Prison Pageant by Srdjan Šarenac (author of the films Village Without Women and Two Schools); Landscapes of Resistance by Marta Popivoda, Telenovela en gris y multicolor by Filip Martinović, as well as the documentary Celebrating Love by Tamara Drakulić, author of the films Ocean and Wind.
The jury, made up of directors and selectors of international film festivals, will decide the recipients of the First Look awards: a 65,000 euro post-production service award from Cinelab Bucharest, the Le Film Français Award, consisting of advertising services in $ 5,600, and a $ 5,000 Kaiju Cinema D / ffusion prize for designing an international poster.
The prestigious Locarno Film Festival takes place for the 72nd time this year, and will start tomorrow, August 7th, and run until August 17th.
