On Monday, 20th of January, starting at 8 pm, the Museum of the Pompidou Center in Paris, as a part of the La Cinémathèque du documentaire, three short documentaries produced during the Varan Atelier film workshops held in Belgrade will be shown. The Paris Institute for Documentary Film Atelier Varan, founded by Jean Rousse, has supported young authors from Serbia interested in this approach to film art during two workshops held in 2004 and 2007 in partnership with the Belgrade Faculty of Dramatic Arts and the French Cultural Center in Belgrade. Today, many of them are among the most important Serbiandocumentary filmmakers (Mila Turajlić, Dragan Nikolić, Srdjan Kec).
The retrospective programme, under the title Our Neighbors from Belgrade will feature the following short documentaries:
Neighbors by Maša Drndić, Ivana Todorović, Dragan Bjelica and Ivan Ramljak (37 minutes),
Dad’s Car by Staša Tomić (18 minutes),
In the Box by Mihajlo Jevtić (16 minutes).
