Debut feature film Have You Seen This Woman? directed by Dušan Zorić and Matija Gluščević will have its world premiere at the 79th Venice Film Festival. The film will be screened in Venice as part of the official competition program “Critics’ Week” (Settimana Internazionale della Critica), which brings together seven debut works from around the world.
Have You Seen This Woman? is the story of a middle-aged woman, Draginja, who tries to break out of her skin through three different lives. The main role is played by Croatian actress Ksenija Marinković. In supporting roles appear: Isidora Simijonović, Boris Isaković, Vlasta Velisavljević, Goran Bogdan, Jasna Đuričić, Radoje Čupić, Olga Odanović, Milica Mihajlović, Ivana Vuković, Miloš Timotijević, Isidora Minić, Alex Elektra and others.
The film was produced by Čarna Vučinić on behalf of “Non-Aligned Films” from Serbia, and co-producers are Damjan Knežević, Tijana Drakulić, Stefan Ivančić and Tena Gojić. Associate producers are Dragana Jovović, Ognjen Glavonić, Nevena Petrović and Miroslav Đurđević. The film was realized in co-production with Radio and Television of Serbia, the Faculty of Dramatic Arts from Belgrade and Dinaridi Film from Croatia. The film was supported by Film Center Serbia, as well as the Croatian Audiovisual Center.
The directors are also the screenwriters, while the directors of photography are Aleksa Radunović, Marko Kažić and Milica Drinić. The editor of the film is Olga Košarić. The sound design is by Luka Gamulin, and the costume designer is Kristina Savić. Set design was done by Iva Ilić and Milena Grošin, and make-up by Ana Bibić and Slađana Vujković. The original music is by Stipe Škokić known as DJ Jock, and Vladan Đurić (studio Primer) worked as the visual effects supervisor.
Dušan Zorić and Matija Gluščević studied film directing at the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Belgrade. Their short films have been screened at a large number of international festivals, winning several awards. Zorić’s documentary Love (2017) had its world premiere at the Visions du Réel festival in Nyon, and was then shown at Beldocs in Belgrade and at the Sarajevo Film Festival, while his short feature film Foreign Body (2018) had its world premiere in the “Horizons” program of the Venice Film Festival. Gluščević’s documentary Utopia (2016) was screened at the Pula Film Festival and the March Festival in Belgrade. His short film Loop (2017) had its world premiere at the Locarno Film Festival.
