WHERE DO YOU STAND TODAY ŽELIMIR ŽILNIK?

Winter 2019. On a river island in Vojvodina, Zelimir Zilnik is looking for non-professional participants for his new documentary project. At the same time, the negative of his unfinished and banned 1971 film, "Freedom or Cartoons", was found in the archives of the National Cinematheque. He brings together the team who, almost fifty years later, are trying to finish that film.This film is a part of a collection initiated by the Center Pompidou which places an order from each guest filmmaker for a free-form film, with which he answers title question which is both retrospective and introspective, and turned towards the future, his desires and his projects.
