Today, it was officially announced that the 17th Festival of European Feature Documentary Film “Magnificent Seven” will be held from October 2nd to October 6th, 2021 in Belgrade’s Kombank Hall.
The expectation that 2021 will bring us the much-anticipated relaxation of covid safety measures has not been fulfilled, but still, some exceptional films are coming our way. Cinema premieres have been announced across Europe, and everyone is eagerly awaiting the moment when a direct path from reality to amagical film journeys created by authorial talents and imagination will be open again.
Most of all, we are happy that this year’s festival will open with the notable documentary Merry Christmas, Yiwu by Serbian author Mladen Kovačević. The film was created as a major production venture in a joint Serbian-Swedish co-production with the participation of film and TV companies from Germany, France, Belgium and Qatar, and began its remarkable festival journey with a successful world premiere at the big festival in Rotterdam 2020. This masterful modern documentary presents us with an exclusive and poetic view of China.
Six more top-tier achievements from the European documentary scene will bring us in touch with exceptional events and people, authorial endeavors and ideas, a world filled with collisions seen from unexpected points of view. You can find the program and details about the films on the official site.
