To Blink Animation Studio’s latest short animated film, Just For The Record, has began the new year with the signing of a contract to be shown on HBO Europe. The local audience had the opportunity to see it on January 1st at the premiere of “Mini Film” as part of the James Bond Film Marathon, and HBO and Cinemax channels will show it between feature films for the next 18 months. More good news is coming from the representative for world rights, MAGNETFILM from Berlin, that the rights to show were also bought by the channels Shot TV and Estet TV, which cover the area of Russia and the Baltic countries.
After last year’s Mumbai Best Animation Awards and a four-time award at the Canada Shorts Festival in New Brunswick, the film continues its festival success with the second audience award and third place in the animated film category at the Anchorage Festival in Alaska last week.
The animated film about the little robot-dictaphone Rec, who is trying to make friends with a bird in order to help him copy his memory, was written and directed by Vojin Vasović, and the art direction is signed by Nikola Stepković. The film was co-produced with the Belgrade studio Digital Assets Taylors and To Blink Studio from Canada. The film was supported by Film Center Serbia, the city of Kragujevac, the Ontario Art Council, the Canadian Art Fund and the regional investment fund Animond.
