The official part of the program of the 17th Zagreb Film Festival wrapped up at the Tuškanac cinema last night. The feature film jury (composed by director Dana Budisavljević, director Elmir Jukić and director Ágnes Kocsis) awarded the Romanian-Serbian film Ivana the Terrible, directed by Ivana Mladenović, as best feature film.

“The award is being given to a film portrait of a generation that seems to be stuck in eternal puberty. Too smart to continue living as their parents, but too weak to build a new world. The film easily finds its way into the viewers’ heart of because of the spontaneity and self-deprecation of the lead actress, who is also the director. It is also a film that plays with and pushes at the boundaries between documentary and fiction, ”the jury explained.
