The eighth Image in Motion festival, which affirms and rewards quality cinematographers and directors of photography, was closed last night with an award ceremony.
The main and special awards for cinematography in the film were decided by a three-member jury composed of directors of photography Jelena Stanković SAS, John Christian Rosenlund FNF and Goran Volarević SAS. The main award for cinematography, which is awarded in cooperation with the Association of Film Festivals of Serbia, and with the support of Film Center Serbia, went to the director of photography of the film Guardians of the Formula Ivan Kostić SAS. The special award for cinematography in film went to Bogdan Babović SAS for the film The Storm. In addition to this, cinematographers Aleksa Radunović, Marko Kažić and Milica Drinić received special recognition for their special contribution to film expression for their work on for film Have You Seen This Woman?
The Board of the Serbian Association of Filmmakers awarded gold, silver and bronze plaques for cinematography in Serbian TV series filmed in the last year. The golden plaque went to Dušan Joksimović SAS for his cinematography in the series The Fall. The silver plaque for cinematography in the series was awarded to Bojana Andrić SAS for the series Trail of the Beast and to Vladan Pavić SAS for the TV series Restless. The bronze plaque went to Ivan Kostić SAS for his cinematography in the series Children of Evil.
The selection of student short films chosen by Dušan Joksimović SAS was decided by a three-member jury composed of: Nebojša Bašić SAS, Miodrag Trajković SAS and Vladan Pavić SAS. Two films were jointly awarded the first prize for the best cinematography in this category. The film Aunt by director of photography Filip Stojanović and the film Where Are You Going? director of photography Luka Obračević.
The Association of Film Festivals of Serbia in cooperation with the Film Center of Serbia has also awarded the award for the best minority Serbian co-production. The jury consisting of Bojana Andrić SAS, Draško Plavšić SAS and Zoran Petrović SAS unanimously decided that the award should go to director of photography Damjan Radovanović SAS for the film Traces.
During the two days of the festival, as part of the accompanying program, two masterclass programs were held and six feature films were shown.
The festival was held with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Serbia, the City of Novi Sad and Film Center Serbia.
