The full-length feature film How I Learned to Fly directed by Radivoje Andrić, has received the annual award “Oktavian” award for the best co-production film in Croatia from the Croatian Society of Film Critics.

The filmwas co-produced by “Sense Production” (Serbia), “Kinorama” (Croatia), “Art Fest” (Bulgaria) and “Silverart” (Slovakia), with the support of Film Center Serbia and “Creative Europe” and “Eurimages” funds. The script was written by Ljubica Luković, the director of photography is Dušan Joksimović, the editor is Dejan Urošević, the composer is Vasil Hadžimanov, and the sound designer is Vladan Korać. The costume designer is Momirka Bailović, and the set designer is Tajana Čanić Stanković.

The cast is led by the talented young actress Klara Hrvanović, and she was supported by experienced colleagues Olga Odanović, Žarko Laušević and Snježana Sinovčić. Young actors Luka Bajto and Ema Kereta Rogić also appear in the film. The film is based on the novel of the same name by Jasminka Petrović.

How I Learned to Fly was one of this year’s biggest hits in Serbian cinemas with almost 200,000 tickets sold in our country, and it also won the European Children’s Film Association award, which is awarded to the best European film at the BUFF festival in Malmo. Also, at the end of the year, the film received the newly established award of the Network of Screeners of Serbia for the best Serbian feature film.
