As Belgrade-based Večernje Novosti reports, our celebrated director Goran Paskaljević will represent Serbia at a high-level film forum organized by China at the national level as part of the Belt and Road initiative.This major event will last from October 15th to 20th and will bring together the most recognized independent filmmakers from around the world, winners of the most prestigious awards, such as Italian Oscar winner Paolo Sorrentino, Cannes laureate Nuri Bilge Ceylan (Turkey), two times Oscar-nominee Amir Khan (India), and Mugid Mugid, the first Iranian Oscar-nominated director. The host country will be represented by Jia Zhangke, one of the most prominent authors of Chinese and world cinema.
Paskaljević, whose work has received numerous awards in Berlin, Cannes, Venice, San Sebastian et al, will participate in a roundtable named “The Age of Film Language Innovation”, and a “talk with the masters of film” is organized as part of the Belt and Road Initiative.
