To Blink Animation Studio’s latest short animated film, Just For The Record, has been awarded four times after being screened at the Canada Shorts short film festival in New Brunswick. It was awarded the Grand Prix of the festival, Best Director Award, Best Canadian Film and Best Animated Film. And at its Indian premiere, the same week, it won the Gold Award in the category for Best Short Animated Film at the Mumbai International Film Festival.

The animated film about the little robot-dictaphone Rec, who is trying to make friends with a bird in order to help him copy his memory, was written and directed by Vojin Vasović, and the art direction is signed by Nikola Stepković. The film was co-produced with the Belgrade studio Digital Assets Taylors and To Blink Studio from Canada. The film was supported by the Film Center Serbia, the city of Kragujevac, the Ontario Art Council, the Canadian Art Fund and the regional investment fund Animond.

Out of the 2,500 films submitted, Just For the Record was among about twenty selected to be screened at the Palm Springs International Animated Film Festival (December 22nd to January 2nd). After the Netherlands, Germany, China and Canada, the film will be presented to the Italian audience at the Punto Di Vista festival in this month’s competition program and the Animakids program of the Small Animation Festival on December 23rd. And the Australian premiere is reserved for the Flickerfest 30th International Short Film Festival, which will be held from December 22nd to January 31st, 2021.
