AGREEMENT

Aleksandar's father, Petar, thinks that the only way out of hopelessness, which they experience after the war, living in central Serbia as displaced persons from Kosovo and Metohija, is the return home which they were expelled from. Aleksandar's wife, Jelica, objects to their decision to return, since she, primarily, fears for the safety of their children, but does neither see a way out of the situation they are in. The return, in spite of the official words of welcome, isn`t such in the reality. The consequences of war and hatred are still dominant. The neighbours from the village, the local Albanians, are setting up an ambush on the road, where Petar and Aleksandar have to pass by with their truck. The Albanians are, not willingly, accompanied by Aleksandar`s friend from the childhood, Ljuan, who is there with his brother and father. .. This is just the beginning of the plot in the life of the main character, who is going to be faced with a choice that seems to have love and honor opposing each other.This multilayer film story regarding the relationship between the Serbs and Albanians, inspired by true events and refracted through the tragic fate of the two heroes and their families, and which, in transferred way, speaks about the attitude towards Kosovo, its history, the present and the future of these two nations, is signed, as a debutante achievement, by the screenwriter and director, Pedja Predrag Radonjić.
