Sima Lenoviæ and his wife Mara go to vacation ten years after Sima returned from the Kosovo war in 1999. In a dim lit hotel room, through a phone conversation with her mother, between superficial and conceited comments at the expense of hotel guests, we learn the details about Sima's problematic psychic condition and his dysfunctional relationship with Mara which they are trying to save by having a vacation on Lake Ohrid.
Sima and a young girl on the beach lead a casual conversation, but through its hidden meanings Sima’s alienation and vision of the world surrounding him are revealed. Innocence and purity of the child emphasize his feeling of hopelessness caused by war traumas and his inherent inability to fit in the materialistic society. On his way back to the hotel, Sima enters an unduly dispute with a woman in the elevator. After entering his room he calmly and with a soldierly precision takes out a gun from his suitcase and fires a bullet into his temple while Mara is asleep.
