Miloš Tsernianski was one of the greatest Serbian authors and poets of all times, but he also had one of the most troubled and chaotic lives in recent Serbian history. His life story is closely intertwined with the crucial moments of Serbian national destiny in the 20th century. His biography resembles an adventure novel: he was a novelist, a poet, a soldier in WWI, a soccer player, a journalist, a duelist, a diplomat in Nazi Germany and Italy… And this is just a part of his many interests. As a young man he has eagerly participated in the turbulent political life of the Kingdom of Yugoslavia. After the Communists came to power in Belgrade, Tsernianski had to pay for his support of the Crown.
