CLOSE FRIENDS

The film follows the lives of women who, having been exposed to domestic violence, have committed a criminal offence and have, as a result of that, ended up behind bars. For many of them, the final act in their tragedy begins with their release from jail and their return to the free world where their friends and family have disowned them, their local community has branded them and their society has forgotten them.
