The European Film Academy (EFA) has announced the expanded list of films that have been shortlisted for nominations for this year’s EFA awards. Another 21 films were added, and the organizers point out that more than 40 percent of the featured films were directed by women.
Among the added titles are two noted minority Serbian co-productions – Housekeeping for Beginners directed by Goran Stolevski and Excursion directed by Una Gunjak. The Film Center of Serbia supported the production of both films.
The shortlisted nominations will be announced on November 7th, and the European Film Academy Awards ceremony is scheduled for December 9th in Berlin.
