Serbian actor Miodrag Krivokapić was announced in Pula as this year’s winner of the “Fabijan Šovagović” award for his contribution to film and cinematography. The “Fabijan Šovagović” award was established by the Society of Croatian Film Directors in 2001, in memory of the great Croatian actor. Krivokapić was presented with the award at the Pula Festival Center by the president of the Association of Croatian Film Directors, Danilo Šerbedžija.
Miodrag Krivokapić (1949) graduated in acting in 1975 at the Academy of Theater and Film Arts in Zagreb. He soon became a member of the Gavela Drama Theater there, and after two years he transferred to the Croatian National Theater in Zagreb, where he was a member until 1986.
Krivokapić appeared in numerous films over the course of his career: Virgina, Evening Bells, The Fall of Italy, In the Jaws of Life, Life with Uncle, Crime at School, Lost Homeland, Enclave, Ljubica, House, It Takes Three for Happiness, In the Name of the People, Little Train Robbery, Crazy House, The Best, Birds That Never Fly, Knife, Ball-Can-Can, The Nephews, Stella, The Lost and Found Bureau, Find Out, Buddy… and there are also notable roles in numerous television series.
