The Board of Directors of the Serbia Cinema Network has established the award of the Serbia Cinema Network for the best Serbian feature film. The consideration for this award includes all feature-length majority Serbian productions that premiered in cinemas in Serbia in the period from January 1st, 2021 to May 31st, 2022, i.e. films intended for cinema screening and which had their the first official screening in the specified period (either at the festival, as a part of regular cinema repertoire, or online).


The professional jury for the award of the Serbia Cinema Network for the best Serbian film consists of all members of the Serbia Cinema Network (collective, individual, and honorary), and each member of the Serbia Cinema Network has the right to vote only once. In the period from November 3rd to 15th, 2022, the members of the jury will vote online and make the final decision on the best Serbian film, awarding each film a score from one (1) to five (5). In the event that two or more films have the same total score, they will both win the prize for the best Serbian feature film.


The preliminary list of films competing for the award includes the following: “The Only Way Out”, “The Loanshark”, “Oasis”, “The Living Man”, “Unclean Blood – Sin of the Ancestors”, “Toma”, “Shots in Marseille”, “South Wind – Acceleration”, “Heavens”, “Celts”, “It’s Not Bad to Be Human”, “Golden Boy”, “The Summer I Learned to Fly”, “Spring Song”, “The Key” , “Once upon a time in Serbia”, “Darkness”, “Besieged”, “Heroes”, “Working Class Heroes”, “As Far As I can Walk” and “Don’t Bet on the Brits”.


If a film is not on the list, but has had its first official screening in accordance with the set parameters, the Serbia Cinema Network invites all interested parties (producers, directors, distributors…) to register their films no later than October 30th, 2022 by sending their application via e-mail: najfilm@cinemanetwork.rs, and to submit evidence of the screening of the film in accordance with propositions published i the Legal Gazette. After the expiration of this deadline and consideration of the applications by the ICC Program Council, the ICC Board of Directors determines the final list of films.

The winner will be announced at the award ceremony, during the regular annual conference of the Serbia Cinema Network, which will be held from November 24th to 27th, 2022, in Mećavnik.
