This year’s edition of the AVANT festival in Sweden (taking place September 23rd-24th), as part of the program entitled “Yugoslavia and more”, will be exploring the Yugoslav avant-garde film of the 1960s and 1970s and its legacy.
The program included films by Slobodan Šijan and Tomislav Gotovac, as well as a selection dedicated to female artists who worked in the medium of experimental film and video in Yugoslavia, curated by Branka Benčić and Aleksandra Sekulić. FIlm makers Slobodan Šijan, Dejan Sretenović and Aleksandra Sekulić will took part in the debate program at the festival.
