This upbeat Yugoslavian romantic drama takes a joyful look at the country's youth oriented counter-culture. It is set in Belgrade during 1999. The saga centers around "Boom 92" an underground radio station. Through its single microphone comes many rebellious ideas. The film's protagonist is Black a DJ who resembles James Dean. To keep his station on the air, Black will do anything, even if it means selling drugs and tape recorders. Black meets his match in the beautiful Luna, a rock singer with more attitude than he has. Framed by opression, censorship, and violence the two fall passionately in love. Boom 92 is shut down because it is considered subversive. The enterprising Black then creates Black Bomber, a traveling radio station in the bed of a pick-up truck. He is pursued by as persistent policeman.
