black-comedy
It is the beginning of the month when the postman comes to the remote, war-ravaged village in the region of Lika in Bosnia, in order to deliver the U.S. state pension to an old woman whose husband was killed in World War II. Her older son, Mane, is the one who always signs for the money. Joja, Mane’s younger brother also lives in the house. Since the main goal of the entire family is to keep grandmother alive, every member has their function. Mane oversees it all and puts the money neatly away. Everything would be peachy if it weren’t for their nosy neighbor Mile, who dogs their every step. Branko, the grandson, does not see a bright future in giving his grandma a pedicure, and he confesses this to her during one such treatment.
