In the remains of an abandoned utopian project, an unusual friendship grows between a girl and an old woman. When the city begins to erase the spaces in which they live, the end of childhood and dreams is in sight.
Srđan Keča is both the screenwriter and director of photography of this production, which he also edited, together with Hrvoslava Brkušić. The sound designer is Jakov Munizaba. The author of the music for the film is Hrvoje Nikšić.
Keča said the following about this documentary: “This film was born from the desire to tell a parable about life in a structure made of interrupted dreams and ideas. For me, it represents the essential experience of post-Yugoslav societies, rapidly steeped in capitalism and dizzying levels of inequality. The film focuses on those who have been left most vulnerable by this process and finds them in the darkness of the space of the Museum of the Revolution, which initiates the allegorical level of the story. Starting with that, I wanted to see to what extent an observational documentary, built around characters, could become a cinematic essay without losing the essential qualities of either form.”
