The film How I Learned to Fly by Radivoje Raša Andrić will have its international premiere in March this year, at the prestigious BUFF festival in Malmö. The film was included in the competition selection of this festival together with seven other films and was nominated for two awards – the Award for the best film of the city of Malmö and the Award of the European Association of Children’s Films. The BUFF International Film Festival was founded in 1984 and is one of the most important European festivals dedicated to films for children and youth from all over the world. 118 films from 51 countries will be screened at this year’s festival.

How I Learned to Fly  is currently being shown in cinemas across Serbia. The plot of the film follows the adventures of twelve-year-old Sofia in one of the sunniest places on the Adriatic. Through new friendships, first loves, but also through long-kept family secrets, the audience has the opportunity to follow Sofia on her unforgettable summer vacation, but also to identify with her experiences.

The film was co-produced by Sense Production (Serbia), Kinorama (Croatia), Art Fest (Bulgaria) and Silverart (Slovakia), with the support of te Film Center Serbia and pan-European funds Creative Europe and Eurymage. The screenplay was written by Ljubica Luković, the producers are Maja Popović Milojević and Milan Stojanović, the director of photography is Dušan Joksimović, the film’s editor is Dejan Urošević, the composer is Vasil Hadžimanov, the sound designer is Vladan Korać, the costume designer is Momirka Bailović, and the set designer is Tajana Čanić Stanković. young actress Klara Hrvanović, and she was supported by experienced colleagues Olga Odanović, Žarko Laušević and Snježana Sinovčić. Young actors Luka Bajto and Emma Kereta Rogić also appear in the film in the role of Sofia’s cousins.
