This year’s edition of the Viennale Film Festival, launched in 1960, ended last night in Vienna. Five awards and recognitions were given, and among the winners is the Serbian film Celts by Milica Tomović, which was crowned with the award of the jury of readers of the Viennese newspaper “Standard”. Film Center of Serbia also supported the creation of  multi-award-winning achievement, which has also won three awards at the recently concluded Taipei Film Festival.

This award is given to a film that does not have an Austrian distributor and whose screening in Austrian cinemas is then recommended by the jury. If the film finds a distributor, “Standart” will support it with free advertising space on its pages.

In the first half of June this year, the film  won the award for the best feature film in the international competition program of the fiftieth edition of the International Film Festival “Molodist” in Kiev, as well as the FIPRESCI Critics Jury Award, and the Heart of Sarajevo Award for Milica Tomović. for directing. This film had its world premiere this winter in “Panorama”, the official program of the Berlin Film Festival.
