Good news coming from Kiev – the Serbian feature film My Morning Laughter by Marko Djordjević was awarded the prize for best feature film in the international competition program of Molodist,the 49th International Film Festival in the capital of Ukraine. In his video address, Djordjevic thanked the jury and the audience.
Marko Đorđević’s debut film caused a real sensation and was screened a series of special and full screenings after its Serbian premiere at the Belgrade Film Festival at the end of 2019. The film also participated in the official program of the 49th Rotterdam International Film Festival, where it had an international premiere. The film was awarded at three festivals in Serbia during the previous winter: at the Belgrade Author Film Festival, the Pančevo Film Festival and the Šumadija International Film Festival in Kragujevac. It was also screened at the Wiesbaden International Film Festival.
My morning laughter was written by Marko Đorđević, who directed and edited the film. The film producer is Miloš Pušić, director of photography Stefan Milosavljević, costume designer Lila Vuković and set designer Marija Kojić; the sound designer is Stevan Milošević, sound editors Boris Zaborski and Prvoslav Živanović, sound mixer Kostas Fylaktidis and colorist Eszter Nagy. The main role, Dejana, is played by Filip Đurić. His partners are Jasna Đuričić and Ivana Vuković, while the notable episode of the psychic is interpreted by the late Nebojša Glogovac, in one of his last roles. Bratislav Slavković, Stefan Trifunović, Momčilo Simić, Snežana Tatalović, Sonja Isailović and others also star in the film.
