During this month, the principal photography for Don’t Breathe 2 will commence in Serbia, the sequel to the global hit thriller earned 89.2 million US dollars at the US box office alone, adding another 68.6 million US dollars in the rest of the world.

The first film in this young franchise brought the story of three thieves who break into the house of a blind man who is not as defenselle as he might seem. Experienced Hollywood actor, Stephen Lang (Avatar, Tombstone, The Hunter, Project X, Enemies of the State, Deadly Machines) is set to play the lead role in the upcoming sequel.

Don’t Breathe 2 is directed by Rodo Sayagues, who co-wrote the screenplay for both films with Fede Alvarez, while Fede Alverez the director of the firs film.

 

The local co-producer is the Belgrade house Work in Progress, which already has a lot of experience with productions of this scope and size; they have worked on films such as: Brothers Bloom, Coriolanus, Lockout, Chernobyl Diaries, The Raven, The November Man, Everly, 3 Days to Kill, The Forest, Mayhem, Tau, Papillon, Extinxction, Ibiza, The White Crow, Anna, Crawl and Minamata.

The shooting is planned to last 12 weeks, from August to October this year. The production has applied for the local stand-alone incentive program for investors in the production of audiovisual works.
