Good news from Locarno for Serbian films keep rolling in. The short film The Last Picture of the Father by Stefan Djordjevic was named by the Young Jury as the best short film in the International Selection.
This is the second film awarded at the festival, in addition to the award for Ivana the Terrible, which we have already written about. Both films wers produced with the support of the Serbian Film Center, and Djordjevićs films was also supported by SeeCinema Network.
The Last Picture of the Father was part of the official international competition of the “Pardi di domani” selection of the 72nd International Locarno Film Festival, which lasted from 7th to 17th of August.
The screenwriter and director of this film (working title Crisis of Consciousness) is Stefan Djordjević. Collaborators on the screenplay were Jelena Gavrilović and Andrijana Stojković. The producer is Andrijana Stojković and the co-producer is Marija Lero. The film was made under the auspices of the production company All Inclusive Films, while co-produced by Emote Production. Co-producers are Antitalent from Croatia, Staragar from Slovenia and Minos Nikolakakis from Greece.
The film stars Igor Benčina and young Marko Matić.
