The award for best director was awarded to Mladen Đorđević for the film Working Class Goes to Hell, which was judged by the jury to be “inventive, combative and unpredictable”, and the award was given by Aleksandar Avramović to director Mladen Đorđević, who received it personally.

The “Mira Stupica” award for the best female role was awarded to Mirjana Joković for the film Forever Hold Your Peace, directed by Ivan Marinović. The winner expressed her gratitude in a written message in which she said that this award is a sign that, despite her long absence, she has not been forgotten.

The “Bata Živojinović” award for the best male role was awarded posthumously to Žarko Laušević for the film The Russian Consul. The award was received by Anita Laušević, and presented by the president of the jury, Tanja Bošković, with the words: “This award belongs to Žarko Laušević for all the roles he has played in recent years, as well as for all the roles for which we did not reward him when he should have.”

Director and screenwriter Una Gunjak received a special award from the expert jury for the film Excursion.

The audience award went to the film Only When I Laugh, directed by Vanja Juranić, which was received by Nikolina Vučetić-Zečević, producer.

The decision on the audience award for the best film was made by the audience jury, which noted in its explanation that the topic of domestic violence dealt with in the film is poorly and sensationally treated in our country and treats victims as if they were the culprits only because they reacted.

Živorad Milosavljević, president of the Municipality of Sopot and president of the festival board, said at the end of the festival that the national film review testifies to the current reality, and said that all shown films deserved recognition from the loyal Sopot audience of all generations. He reminded that Sopot will be the host of the festival next year, too.

The review SOFEST PLUS, award-winning films of the 52nd Film Festival in Sopot, will be held in the Hall of the Cultural Center on Tuesday, July 9th. Entrance is free, just like the screenings in Sopot.
