At the recently concluded film festival in Thessaloniki, as part of the pitching forum, the documentary project from Serbia – “Kafka in Belgrade”, directed by Maša Nešković and produced by Maja Medić and Ene Bajraktarević, received the DOK Leipzig Accelerator Award.
The jury’s explanation states:
This is a cinematic portrait of memories and their role in the creation of an intergenerational dialogue, which become the basis for the discovery of individual identities. Through a wonderful archive, this team brings the past to life while showing the effect it has on the present. The DOK Leipzig Accelerator Award is awarded to Maša Nešković, Maja Medić and Eni Bajraktarević for the film “Kafka in Belgrade”.
