Film Center Serbia has successfully held the first edition of the special Belgrade works-in-progress program last week. As part of this activity, a group of international film festival selectors was invited to Serbia tat the behest of FCS in order to familiarize themselves with the latest domestic production, i.e. with Serbian films that will be ready for screening in 2024. The guests who stayed in Belgrade are Daniella Shreir, selector of the program “15 Days of Authors” (Quinzaine des cinéastes) of the Cannes Festival, Lorenzo Esposito, member of the selection committee of the Berlin Film Festival and Paolo Bertolin, selector of the Venice “Mostra”.

A meeting of domestic film professionals with selectors was organized in the press room of the MTS hall of the FCS.

At the panel moderated by Stefan Ivančić, FCS guests presented the festivals they work for, their program units, and brought their work closer to the producers and directors present.

As part of the closed screenings, which were held in the Serbian film hall in the MTS hall, the selectors had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with 15 Serbian feature films, 7 feature films and 8 documentaries, which are in the final stages of post-production.
