Mary’s father becomes close with a woman who then moves into their house together with her two daughters. Maria supports her father but realizes that she can’t trust her new stepmother…

In her explanation of the project, the author Maja Miloš explained: “The crack in the ice deals with the issues of the integrity of women in a materialistically and competitively organized world filled with aggression. The film follows the heroine’s intimate journey of self-acceptance and integrity, emphasizing the extent of degradation and exploitation of women through various social strata, with the aim of depicting real life in a raw way without accompanying moralizing. Narrative models of fairy tales are immersed in a contemporary story to explore how humanistic ideas of fairy tales work in today’s world… ”
